Voor Change Beats onderhouden we contact met twee organisaties in het buitenland, Smile in India en Mkombozi in Tanzania:
The Smile foundation is an Indian organisation with the head office in Delhi. This relatively young organisation was founded in 2002 by two investment bankers together with some like minded professionals who decided to support grassroots’ initiatives with a focus on education and health care for underprivileged children in India. At the moment Smile supports over 100 local projects.
Mkombozi means "liberator" or "emancipator" in Swahili. It is the leading child-focussed agency in Tanzania's Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions. It uses education, research, advocacy, and outreach to help vulnerable children and youth to grow in mind, body and spirit. Mkombozi’s entails a rights-based approach. Its objective is to protect street and at risk children and young people by providing, supporting, strengthening and advocating for community services in Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions in Tanzania. ICS and Mkombozi have been partners since 2007.
